That’s an empty low drag shell, once the cabin and everything else is mounted on the final it will probably have a much slower acceleration and will probably only reach a 2/3’s of the speed. Thats a test vehicle that’s probably set up to test stresses.

Ok now if they were to build an enclosed hall over all the high-speed train tracks, that would be neat.
Also a decade ago, Japan got the overall maglev speed record (experimental) at 603 km/h (375 mph). That video is like this one though if you speed it up by 1.2x ( source wikipedia )
Also aren’t railguns essential maglev? ( Well Gauss guns according to the good comment below!)
